Role Overview:

An exciting and creative organization based in NYC are looking for a passionate and skilled Restoration Engineer to join their dynamic and innovative team. From historic landmarks to modern high-rises, their projects span all five boroughs, tackling some of the city's most exciting restoration and preservation challenges.
Role Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections of façades, roofs, plazas, and garages, including Local Law 11/FISP evaluations.
- Document conditions, compile findings, and prepare reports for DOB submissions.
- Conduct building inspections from ground level, rooftops, lifts, and scaffolding.
- Develop structural designs for restoration and renovation projects.
- Prepare detailed plans, specifications, and project documentation.
- Review contractor bids, payment applications, change orders, and schedules.
- Oversee contractor walkthroughs and monitor construction progress.
- Build and maintain client relationships.
- Assist with scoping, staff allocation, and time estimation for proposals.
Role Requirements:
- 2-8 years of related experience in restoration engineering.
- EIT certification required; PE license preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Master's degree preferred.
- 3+ Years FISP/Local Law 11 or Local Law 126 experience in required
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with New York City's building codes and regulations.
