The firm is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Structural Engineer. The focus of this role is on client relations and the structural design of complete buildings and structures. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and capable of managing projects from the proposal phase through construction administration with minimal oversight.
Responsibilities:
- Structural Engineering Design: Develop comprehensive structural designs for full building structures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Production of Structural Drawings: Create detailed structural drawings to accurately convey design concepts and specifications.
- Field Inspections and Assessments: Conduct on-site inspections and assessments to evaluate structural integrity and adherence to design specifications.
- Engineering Reports and Specifications: Prepare and review engineering reports and specifications to communicate project details and requirements effectively.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with architects, contractors, and engineering consultants to ensure seamless integration of structural designs into overall project plans.
- Project Management: Oversee project deadlines and collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery to clients during all project phases.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2-10 years of experience in Structural Engineering with a strong technical background in commercial building design.
- Certification: EIT certification required, PE certification preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with structural engineering design software such as Ram, Risa, and Tedds is essential.
- Drafting Skills: Proficiency in drafting, with preference given to candidates with Revit experience. Applicants must be proficient in either Revit or AutoCAD.
- Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited university is required.
- Skills: Strong leadership, design, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
