Responsibilities:
- Develop and evaluate structural designs for new buildings, as well as the rehabilitation and repair of existing structures, PV systems, and site infrastructures.
- Create comprehensive structural calculations, drawings, and specifications utilizing industry-standard software and tools.
- Work closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to devise effective structural solutions that fulfill project requirements.
- Perform site visits and inspections to evaluate existing structures and provide recommendations for modifications, repairs, and retrofits.
- Conduct structural analysis and modeling using advanced software tools to assess the behavior and performance of structures under various load conditions.
- Participate in project meetings, offering technical expertise and guidance to project teams.
- Keep abreast of the latest industry trends, codes, and standards related to vertical structures, and integrate them into project designs.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience with a civil engineering design firm.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree from an ABET-accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering.
- "Engineer-In-Training" or "Engineering Intern" certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
- Proficiency in structural analysis software, such as Risa, RAM, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and high-quality work.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensed.
