Forensic Professional Engineer - (Georgia)

- Diverse Responsibilities: Conduct field investigations, analyze structural failures, and recommend repairs for various residential and commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and analyze failures in buildings, including structural failures, water intrusions, and construction defects.
- Conduct evaluations such as foundation settlement investigations, site evaluations, and vibration analysis.
- Prepare detailed reports documenting causes of failure, extent of loss, and recommended remediation.
- Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings as needed.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Georgia or eligible to obtain the license.
- 5+ years of experience in building assessments and failure analysis
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design with materials such as concrete, masonry, wood, and steel.
- Familiarity with structural analysis software (RISA, STADD, etc.) is a plus.
- Willingness to travel and conduct site visits, including accessing multi-story roofs, crawlspaces, and attics.
