Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- EIT minimum required, PE is preferred.
- Skilled in using Revit, Enercalc, and other structural software.
- 4+ years of experience in structural design.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with wood, steel, concrete, and masonry design for diverse projects.
- Competence in preparing and managing contract documents, calculations, and specifications.
- Thorough understanding of ASCE, ACI, AISI, AISC, and IBC codes and standards.
- Experience in overseeing construction phases.
- U.S. citizenship required; security background checks may be necessary depending on client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed assessments and observations of existing project conditions.
- Develop project specifications and related documents.
- Create Revit models based on existing documentation, plans, and surveys.
- Use Revit and other CADD software to develop plans, details, schedules, and other documents.
- Collaborate with Architectural and MEP teams.
- Perform material quantity take-offs and assist with project cost estimates.
- Address technical and design issues to ensure project progress and quality.
- Review construction submittals.
- Conduct on-site observations during construction to ensure compliance with project documents.
- Stay current with building codes and design standards.
