They also provide building envelope design review and construction observation services for new buildings, working with clients including property managers, architects, developers, and homeowner associations.
As an independent third-party consultant, the firm serves as an advocate for the Owner's interests, ensuring a smooth construction process while enhancing project value and reducing liability. Their services span from pre-design consulting through evaluation, design, bidding, construction observation, and administration phases, offering technical expertise throughout the rehabilitation process. The firm prides itself on identifying project challenges early, delivering tailored solutions that prevent costly issues later in the project lifecycle.
Role & Responsibilities:
-Perform assessments, field testing, and quality observations for faรงade, roofing, and waterproofing systems across various building envelope projects.
-Lead comprehensive investigations, including fenestration/faรงade, moisture intrusion, and non-destructive testing, providing detailed reports, proposals, and recommendations.
-Develop a broad understanding of concrete restoration and exterior building systems rehabilitation, with a focus on extending and preserving building envelope lifecycles.
-Manage and mentor junior staff, fostering their professional growth.
-Conduct physical surveys of existing structures and facilities for clients, ensuring accurate analysis and reporting.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
-Professional Engineering license preferred but not required.
-5+ years of experience in restoration or building envelope systems.
-Technically proficient, with a strong grasp of contracts, drawings, specifications, work scopes, and project schedules.
-Willingness to travel as required.
