Summary
An IPP focused on C&I solar projects is looking to bring on a Structural Engineer, PE to perform structural analysis of buildings, ensuring they can safely support rooftop solar installations. This position plays a vital role in delivering projects that are safe, compliant, and optimized for performance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct structural analysis of buildings to evaluate their capacity for rooftop solar systems.
- Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, and engineers to design and review structural plans.
- Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations.
- Provide technical support during construction and perform site inspections to verify compliance with designs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in New Jersey; ability to obtain licensure in other states is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably with solar or renewable energy projects.
- Proficient in structural analysis software, MS Office Suite, and virtual platforms like Zoom or Teams.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
