LVI Associates are partnering with a top tier Architectural/Engineering firm with a national presence, that are actively looking for a structural engineer in Denver, Colorado to conduct Forensic Investigations, Construction Defect Litigation, Restoration, Rehabilitation, Renovation, Water Infiltration issues on existing buildings. Successful candidates will also gain the exposure to client development, managing projects and eventually providing technical and managerial oversight to the Denver office.

The Opportunity:
- Lead projects and act as a primary point of contact with clients and project representatives.
- Perform field inspections, required site visits and conduct appraisal activities in conjunction with professional engineers on staff.
- Document review and analysis of schedules, contracts, change orders, designs, plans, correspondence, reports, and any additional documents relating to a project.
- Support litigation investigations by providing expert services to legal and insurance clients.
- Use excellent communication skills to ensure deadlines and cost targets are met.
- Collaborate with Business Development Managers to help develop new business opportunities and continue to nurture and strengthen existing client relationships.
- Assess and provide professional opinions and recommendations relating to building enclosures, roofing systems, waterproofing systems, and various exterior facades.
- Develop expert reports detailing opinions based on sound technical knowledge supported by industry best practice, building codes and regulations
- Provide repair design services and quality assurance observations during the rehabilitation/repair or building improvements phase of a project, as requested by the client.
- Provide appraisal, mediation, arbitration, and trial services as requested by clients in both dispute resolution and litigation work.
- Use excellent communication skills to ensure deadlines and cost targets are met.
- Provide technical advice to clients including attorneys, owner association boards, contractors and insurers.
- Collaborate with other team members to produce effective engineering deliverable.
Requirements:
- A minimum of eight years post-graduation professional experience with Professional Engineer license or Registered Architect status (or equivalent) in Colorado or the ability to obtain this through reciprocity with another state.
- A good understanding of residential, commercial and institutional building design and construction.
- Knowledge of standards of the engineering industry including building codes as well as knowledge of building enclosure design principles.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines while remaining detail and quality focused.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information and build rapport with clients, contractors, sub-contractors and other stakeholders.
