About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in a remote capacity. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with over ten years of experience in structural engineering, who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about designing safe, efficient, and innovative structures. You will lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality structural solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the structural design and analysis of commercial, residential, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
Provide expert technical guidance on structural integrity, safety, and compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and material evaluations for various structural projects.
Utilize structural analysis software and CAD tools to develop detailed engineering plans.
Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
Oversee and mentor junior engineers, providing technical support and professional development.
Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in structural engineering.
Participate in client meetings, provide technical presentations, and assist with project proposals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required (or equivalent international certification).
Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
Expertise in structural analysis and design using software such as SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, or similar tools.
Strong knowledge of building codes and standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, IBC, Eurocodes).
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide innovative solutions to engineering challenges.
Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience managing teams remotely.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote environment.
