My client are offering a full-time position for a Structural Engineer at their Fort Worth office. The ideal candidate will be a registered Professional Engineer with expertise in designing structural components such as framing and foundation systems for buildings, retaining walls, minor bridges, culverts, and other support structures. The candidate will collaborate in a team setting on federal, institutional, commercial, transportation, transit, and public works projects.

Duties:
- Design engineering for vertical structures in commercial and institutional projects, transportation and transit systems, as well as federal and public works projects.
- Conduct structural analysis and prepare design calculations.
- Develop structural details and construction plans using Revit.
- Provide technical guidance to BIM and CADD Designer/Drafters and other project staff.
- Collaborate closely with Engineers and other disciplines to ensure coordinated design systems.
- Review shop drawings, perform field observations, and facilitate the construction administration process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively pursue new business opportunities or additional projects with existing clients, potentially being responsible for a portion of the office sales goal. Assist and/or lead the team in pursuing new work (repeat work, SOQ, and Proposals). Develop and/or execute project win strategies.
- Consistently function as Lead Principal-in-Charge for the designated Practice Area in the geographic market.
- Be a competent, knowledgeable, service leader in the market(s) served.
- Understand and follow QMS and Quality initiatives, ensuring quality control measures are adhered to on projects and daily operations.
- Prepare and follow comprehensive Project Framework Instructions and proper work planning for projects. Ensure proper staff assignment and utilization on projects.
- Review project reports and performance metrics to track project progress and budget. Lead successful projects (profit, on-schedule, quality, satisfied client). Routinely verify client satisfaction and share feedback with the team.
- Proactively work with PM to strategize resolving issues that impact project performance. Review progress with PM at least monthly (including & completes vs. % spent) and ensure PM adheres to weekly rhythm.
- Contribute to the overall profitability and financial performance of projects.
- Oversee staff deliverables and production assigned to projects to ensure client, legal, and company requirements are met.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Master's Degree in Structural Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer required, Structural Engineer License a plus.
- 8+ years' experience in Structural Engineering, including Construction Administration.
- 5+ years' experience in designing projects in the state health care market, higher education market, federal or public works, or seismic upgrade of existing buildings.
- Understanding of International Building Code, ASCE 7, ACI 318 Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete, AISC Steel Construction Manual, AISC Seismic Design Manual, and other material design codes.
- Ability to interact with clients and multi-discipline team members.
