Civil Engineer Project Manager (Stormwater Focus)

A well-established civil engineering firm in Florida is seeking a Civil Engineer Project Manager with 6+ years of experience in land development and infrastructure design, with a primary focus on stormwater projects. This role offers the opportunity to be deeply involved in stormwater planning, analysis, and design, as well as broader land development tasks such as permitting, client collaboration, construction observation, and plan production.
The ideal candidate will bring strong stormwater modeling expertise and project management skills, with a passion for delivering high-quality solutions and contributing to a dynamic, growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams focused on stormwater and land development projects.
- Oversee all project phases, from planning and design to permitting and construction oversight.
- Perform stormwater analysis and modeling, including hydraulic calculations, pipeline design, and pump station design.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring effective communication and project success.
- Mentor and train junior engineers, fostering professional growth and technical development.
- Prepare and present project reports, manage schedules, and handle client invoicing.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and attend stakeholder meetings as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license - Florida PE preferred or eligibility to obtain it.
- 6+ years of experience in civil engineering with a strong focus on stormwater design, modeling, and permitting.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, stormwater modeling software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to work with clients, regulatory agencies, and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and a solid foundation in engineering principles.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience with Florida-based projects is highly preferred.
