Key Responsibilities:
Oversee, coordinate, and facilitate cultural resources activities from project inception to completion.
Work collaboratively with both internal and external clients.
Develop proposals and negotiate contracts.
Manage project planning, including scoping, budgeting, scheduling, and meeting deadlines.
Specific Duties:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Identify and pursue new project opportunities, making go/no-go decisions with leadership.
- Explore new market and client opportunities.
- Develop early sales strategies for key projects to enhance selection chances.
- Supervise fieldwork and technical reporting.
- Comply with Quality Control and Safety programs.
Role Includes:
- A combination of marketing, strategic planning, field assessments, report preparation, and travel.
- Leading and mentoring less experienced staff members.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited institution required.
- Master's Degree in anthropology/archeology or a related field preferred. A master's degree may substitute for one year of experience.
- At least 4 years of experience in construction monitoring, field investigations, surveys, project studies, archaeological excavation, artifact identification, and related fieldwork.
- Experience in the Upper Midwest and other Great Plains or Western U.S. states preferred.
- Ability to obtain permits with the Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, and other entities.
- Consulting experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of federal and state historic preservation regulations, such as the National Historic Preservation Act.
- Understanding of anthropology and archaeology methods and practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical report preparation and proposal writing.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- High attention to detail.
- Proficiency with various types of GPS equipment.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, SharePoint).
- Adaptability to rapidly changing work environments and research approaches.
- Willingness to travel.
- Valid driver's license required. Must meet standards for vehicle driving privileges as outlined in the company's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy.
