Job Description:
We have a current opportunity for a Solar Project Developer (Origination) on a permanent basis. The position will be based in Tokyo. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing new solar energy projects, from initial concept through to construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate potential sites for solar energy projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments.
- Develop project proposals and secure necessary permits and approvals.
- Negotiate land leases and agreements with landowners.
- Collaborate with engineering, finance, and legal teams to ensure project viability.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, utilities, and community groups.
- Monitor and report on project progress and performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in solar project development or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of solar energy technologies and market trends.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
