A leading renewable energy company, specializing in solar power solutions, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Solar Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of solar energy projects in Taiwan. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, a technical background in electrical engineering, and the ability to communicate effectively in English with both local and international stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end solar project development, from initial concept through to successful implementation and commissioning.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams, contractors, engineers, vendors, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Oversee the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of solar power systems, ensuring compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and resource allocations to ensure optimal performance and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential challenges, and provide technical guidance to the project team.
- Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and project updates for internal stakeholders and clients.
- Foster strong relationships with local authorities, suppliers, contractors, and other key external partners to ensure project success.
- Ensure all necessary permits, legal documents, and regulatory approvals are obtained and maintained.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) are a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in managing solar energy projects, preferably in Taiwan or the greater Asia-Pacific region.
- Strong technical knowledge in solar power systems, electrical engineering, and renewable energy technologies.
- Excellent proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for communication with international teams and clients.
- Familiarity with local regulations, permitting processes, and utility interconnection requirements in Taiwan is highly advantageous.
- Proven experience in managing project budgets, schedules, and resources, with a focus on risk management and troubleshooting.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
- Knowledge of project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar) and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with large-scale solar installations or utility-scale projects.
- Knowledge of Taiwanese electrical standards and grid requirements.
- Mandarin Chinese proficiency is an advantage but not required.
- PMP, LEED, or similar certifications in project management or renewable energy are a plus.
