One of my clients is hiring a Commercial Asset Manager to join their team in Tokyo!
The company is a leading player in the renewable energy sector, specializing in the investment, development, and management of solar photovoltaic projects. Headquartered in Denmark, it manages over 1,400 solar PV plants across three continents, including Europe, Asia, and North America. In Japan, they currently operate a portfolio with a total capacity of 400MW, making them one of the top 10 operators in this country.
Position responsibilities: as a Commercial Asset Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Treasury Management:
- Oversee payments as per the Project Company's contracts (EPC, O&M, surveillance, land lease, security, external advisors, etc.).
- Manage interest payments and principal repayments according to financing contracts.
- Monitor the Project Company's revenue collections.
- Bookkeeping and Administration task to approve and process supplier invoices in line with project contracts.
- Coordinate with external accountants for tax calculations and filings.
- Compliance with Finance Documents
- Prepare reports for financing entities as required by loan agreements and finance documents.
- Calculate and submit project finance ratios (e.g., Debt Service Cover Ratio, Debt/Equity ratio) periodically.
- Reporting:
- Submit monthly AM reports.
- Provide an annual operating report within 30 days after the end of December.
- Prepare and submit financial reports required by regulatory entities, if applicable.
Position requirements:
- 5+ years of direct experience in Commercial Asset Management, either for Energy or Real Estate industry
- Fluent in English and Japanese communication
- Good communication skills and experience dealing with different stakeholders
