Job Title: Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer
Location: Oklahoma City or Tulsa
Job Summary:
A Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer is responsible for leading the design, development, and management of complex water and wastewater treatment projects. This role involves providing technical expertise, project management, and leadership to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of water and wastewater treatment facilities, pipelines, and related infrastructure.
- Conduct and oversee studies, assessments, and fieldwork to gather data and evaluate project feasibility.
- Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Perform hydraulic modelling and pipeline design, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide technical support and guidance on water resource or treatment issues to government agencies and clients.
- Develop and implement plans for new water resources or water efficiency programs.
- Conduct water quality studies to identify and characterize water pollutant sources.
- Write and review technical reports or publications related to water resources development or water use efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Oklahoma.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering.
- Proficiency with industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, hydraulic modeling tools, and GIS applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
