Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our dynamic team in a fully remote capacity. This role offers flexible working hours, a competitive salary, and a work-life balance with a 40-hour per week limit. As a Senior Engineer, you will lead the design, management, and execution of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects, contributing to sustainable and efficient solutions. You will collaborate with a team of engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure successful project delivery across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including planning, design, and implementation.
- Oversee engineering design processes, including hydraulic modeling, pump station design, wastewater treatment, and stormwater management.
- Provide technical expertise in water distribution, wastewater collection, treatment processes, and regulatory compliance.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff, ensuring project quality and adherence to industry standards.
- Collaborate with clients, government agencies, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Develop project proposals, feasibility studies, cost estimates, and environmental impact assessments.
- Review and seal engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and guidelines.
- Use advanced software tools and technology for the design and simulation of water/wastewater systems.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices, tools, and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering discipline (Master's degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in water and wastewater engineering, including project management.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Proficiency with design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bentley WaterCAD/SewerCAD, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic modeling, water distribution, and wastewater treatment systems.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and permitting processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
