Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support roadway and highway design projects for ADOT.
- Prepare plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for transportation infrastructure projects.
- Utilize OpenRoads and other design software to develop project deliverables.
- Ensure project compliance with ADOT standards and specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Conduct site visits and provide engineering solutions for design challenges.
- Contribute to project scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Arizona (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
- Minimum of 6 years of transportation engineering experience, including highway and roadway design.
- Strong working knowledge of ADOT design standards and guidelines.
- Proficiency in OpenRoads and other design software (MicroStation preferred).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
