An employee-owned, local consulting firm is seeking a Senior Traffic Project Manager to lead innovative transportation projects across Washington State. As an integral part of their team, you'll work on diverse projects that shape communities, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of experts. This role is ideal for a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) with a passion for traffic operations, modeling, and multi-modal transportation solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead business development and marketing efforts to secure new opportunities.
- Serve as Project Manager on major transportation initiatives.
- Oversee project planning, design, and client-focused sales strategies.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineering staff.
- Develop and manage project time and hour budgets, ensuring schedules and budgets are met.
- Conduct quality control reviews of completed designs.
- Apply creativity and expertise in traffic operations modeling, data analysis, and research for multi-modal projects (transit, bicycles, and pedestrians).
- Create construction design packages, including intelligent transportation systems, illumination, power, and traffic signals.
- Analyze large or complex data sets, summarize findings, and communicate results effectively.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Transportation Planning, or a related field.
- Washington State Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
- At least 15 years of civil engineering design experience.
- Proven technical expertise in traffic analysis, modeling, and data analysis.
- Strong project management experience and ability to lead diverse teams.
- Excellent writing skills for technical reports and construction specifications.
- Working knowledge of Synchro, VISSIM, and Sidra for traffic operations modeling is a plus.
Salary Range: $135,000 - $170,000 per year
