The ideal candidate will:
- Execute engineering tasks, perform calculations (both manual and using structural design software), and produce written reports
- Develop drawings and specifications for projects
- Coordinate structural activities with other design disciplines
- Mentor junior staff in technical structural design
- Assist in Business Development by drafting proposals and estimating the structural workload for projects
- Review construction phase inquiries and submittals, including field testing results and material compositions
- Conduct site visits at existing facilities and ongoing construction projects
Requirements for the Structural Project Engineer:
- Minimum of 10 years' progressive design experience in steel and concrete structures
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil Engineering (Structural concentration) or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) at the job location or eligible for reciprocity within three months
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software
- Proficiency in structural analysis software like RAM Structural System, RISA, RAM Concept
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with federal and industrial projects
- Advanced degree in Structural/Architectural Engineering
- Familiarity with Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build procurement formats
- Expertise in blast design
