Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project teams in structural engineering tasks such as calculations (hand and software-based), analyses, and report preparation.
- Develop drawings and specifications in coordination with other disciplines from concept to construction documents.
- Lead and mentor junior staff in person and remotely across multiple offices.
- Support business development by contributing to proposals, estimating, and interviews with potential clients.
- Support construction administration with RFI responses, submittal reviews, and site visits.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in design tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, RAM Structural Systems, RISA, RAM Concept, ETABs, Mathcad, and other material-specific design software.
- Eligibility to work in the United States and obtain a security clearance.
- 10+ years of progressively responsible design experience with an emphasis on steel and concrete new and existing structures. Experience with CMU, cold-formed steel, and wood is also beneficial.
- Strong understanding of International Building Code, Whole Building Design Guide, ASCE 7 requirements for environmental loading, and other material-specific design reference materials.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering (Structural concentration) or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) at job location or able to obtain reciprocity within 3 months.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Federal and industrial project experience with familiarity in both Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build procurement structures.
- Experience in blast design is beneficial.
- Advanced degree in Structural or Architectural Engineering is a plus.
