Senior Structural Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Interacts with clients by attending client, architect, and contractor meetings, reviewing structural documentation, and supervising/mentoring junior staff.
- Oversees design calculations, preparation of construction documents, reviewing shop drawings and submittals, site reviews, and RFI responses.
- Coordinates information across all disciplines to ensure deliverables are compliant with client expectations and our quality standards.
- Performs QA/QC of work performed by others.
- Mentors and provides oversight to the engineering team. Responsible for the learning, professional development, and growth of the assigned team, as well as training and career development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required, Master's degree preferred.
- Active Professional Engineer license.
- 15+ years' experience in structural engineering.
- Experience with industry-standard software, including but not limited to ETABS, SAFE, SAP, Microsoft products, Bentley (RAM) products, RISA, EnerCalc, Adapt, Tekla, etc.
- Project management experience/ability is required.
- Structural design experience utilizing different construction materials and structural systems, including but not limited to steel, concrete, and masonry design in low to mid-rise structures.
- Working knowledge of Revit is preferred.
- Client management experience is preferred.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, manage multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines, and bring each to completion.
- Must be a self-starter and always willing to listen, learn, and improve.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
- Must demonstrate team leadership ability and the ability to train and mentor younger engineers.
