Our client is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join their team. This position involves planning, designing, and constructing water and wastewater facilities. You will play a crucial role in impactful projects, working within a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the scope, schedule, and budget for structural engineering projects.
- Conduct quality reviews and collaborate with designers to resolve issues.
- Estimate costs and schedules for design and construction phases.
- Develop detailed construction plans and specifications.
- Perform on-site investigations and compile comprehensive reports.
- Integrate project team requirements into structural designs.
- Coordinate design details across various disciplines.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers.
- Support CADD technicians in creating design presentations.
- Provide and review cost estimates for structural components.
- Assist field staff with construction-related issues.
- Enhance and develop structural design standards and specifications.
- Create unique, project-specific designs and details.
- Travel as required for project needs.
- Visit construction sites to ensure proper implementation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
- 10-15 years of experience in designing water and wastewater treatment structures.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
- Proficiency in building codes and standards for concrete, steel, and masonry structures.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently and within teams.
- Extensive knowledge of construction specifications.
- Strong skills in presenting structural designs in documents.
- In-depth understanding of structural design codes.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in public speaking and MS Word and Excel.
