Role Responsibilities:
- Perform structural design and analysis for steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and archaic building systems.
- Assist in preparing drawings and specifications for various projects.
- Conduct site investigations to document existing conditions.
- Manage multiple projects at once, including coordination of staff and clients.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior team members.
- Oversee site supervision for emergency work with NYC DOB Forensic Unit and Construction Safety Engineering Unit.
- Maintain active involvement in professional organizations to stay updated with industry advancements.
Role Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering (Master's Degree is a plus).
- P.E. or S.E. license is an asset.
- 6-12 years of experience in structural engineering for residential, commercial, or institutional buildings.
- Experience in historic building preservation is an asset.
- Proficiency in computer analysis software (RISA, SAP, RAM).
- Working knowledge of REVIT.
