Job Title: Senior Solution Architect
Location: West Coast (WA, CA, OR, NV, AZ)
Reports to: Senior Vice President, Energy Solutions
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of Energy as a Service (EaaS) solutions, including microgrids, energy storage, and renewable energy systems. This role will involve developing tailored, techno-economic solutions that address complex client needs related to energy cost, sustainability, resilience, and reliability. You will work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to deliver innovative and optimized energy solutions for a variety of industries.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the design of innovative energy solutions, including microgrids, energy storage, and renewables, that meet customer needs for sustainability, cost reduction, and resilience.
- Collaborate with internal teams (project management, development, and financial teams) and external partners (engineers, EPCs, etc.) to develop comprehensive and cost-effective proposals.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their challenges and offering solutions that enhance operational efficiency and reduce energy costs.
- Lead technical workshops, educational sessions, and presentations for clients and internal teams.
- Support the business development team in client engagements by advising on technical aspects of proposals and offering innovative, customized solutions.
- Mentor junior solution architects, providing guidance and sharing technical expertise.
What You'll Need:
- 10+ years of experience in the energy sector, with a focus on microgrid technologies, energy storage, and renewable energy systems.
- Strong experience in the design and modeling of energy solutions, with proficiency in tools like PVSyst, Helioscope, or similar energy modeling platforms.
- Proven ability to collaborate across multiple teams and lead cross-functional efforts to deliver complex energy solutions.
- Experience in technical proposal development, including financial modeling, cost evaluations, and contract negotiations.
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field), with advanced certifications or a Master's degree being a plus.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in permitting, regulatory compliance, and project development for large-scale energy systems.
- Familiarity with utility-scale energy projects and capital planning.
