The Electrical Design Engineer will lead the electrical design engineering efforts, foster innovation, ensure compliance with regulations, and deliver high-quality, efficient electrical designs for solar power projects. This role is crucial for the company's growth and success in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits for tenders and prepare comprehensive technical offers, including Bill of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimation, and drawings.
- Support the Business Development team during pre-bid and post-bid discussions to resolve technical queries.
- Prepare technical specifications for solar plants during detailed engineering and coordinate with contractors, consultants, and vendors.
- Develop in-house drawings, including General Arrangement (GA) drawings, layouts, calculations, and cable schedules.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for drawing approvals and resolution of technical issues.
- Ensure timely project commissioning through inter-departmental coordination with projects, procurement, and site teams.
- Review and approve design drawings and documents from equipment vendors.
- Address technical issues raised by the site team and visit sites as required.
- Maintain comprehensive project engineering records.
- Supervise the design team and review work plans to meet project and tender requirements.

Professional Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (B.Tech/B.E-Electrical).
- Over 6 years of experience in electrical design for ground mount and/or rooftop solar projects, with at least 1 year of site execution experience.
- Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of key profit and value drivers.
Key Experiences:
- Expertise in designing ground mount and/or rooftop solar power plants.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Helioscope, PvSyst, and MS Office. Familiarity with additional engineering tools or software is an advantage.
- Experience in vendor management.
- Demonstrates strong integrity and professional behavior.
