The Client has an exciting opportunity for a senior-level Landscape Architect to join our firm in our Cambridge office. The Client is an award-winning integrated design practice that unites landscape architects with architects, interior designers, civil, structural and building systems engineers, design technologists, and researchers. Our design professionals are guided by a shared pursuit of design excellence, sustainability, and social responsibility.
The Position:
The Site Design team is seeking a highly experienced and creative Landscape Architect with 12+ years of relevant experience to join our growing team. Given The Client's integrated composition, the role affords a great opportunity to coordinate and work closely with staff across numerous areas of design expertise and provides exposure to a variety of project and client types throughout all phases of projects. The successful candidate will work on various projects throughout our seven core studios: K-12 Education, Higher Education, Government, Life Sciences, Workplace, Technology, and Developer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the design process from conceptual stages through construction administration.
- Oversee and mentor junior landscape architects and design team members, fostering professional growth and ensuring high-quality output.
- Produce compelling graphics, models, and design representations.
- Develop site designs and details for a variety of land development and building projects that reinforce the overall design intent while balancing cost, constructability constraints, and client expectations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary knowledge experts to pursue innovative design opportunities and apply best practices.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met and expectations are managed.
- Lead project teams, ensuring timely delivery of projects within budget constraints.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited institution.
- 12+ years of relevant experience in landscape architecture.
- Demonstrated experience with a variety of digital tools to serve the design process, including Rhino (prerequisite), the Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven leadership skills and experience in managing project teams and client relationships.
- Strong interest and experience in green infrastructure and innovative rainwater management strategies.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, and capacity to exhibit sound decision-making, time management, and organization skills.
