An industry-leading renewable energy company is seeking an experienced Senior Project Planner to join their dynamic team for a major offshore wind project in Taipei, Taiwan. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive project schedules for the offshore wind project, ensuring alignment with key milestones, deadlines, and project objectives.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure all planning aspects are well-coordinated and accurately reflected in project timelines.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and provide mitigation strategies for schedule-related issues or delays.
- Track project progress and report on key performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and offering solutions.
- Oversee resource allocation and optimize the use of materials, equipment, and workforce to ensure efficient project execution.
- Manage project scope changes, revising schedules as necessary and ensuring that all adjustments are communicated effectively across the team.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of local regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines that impact offshore wind projects in Taiwan.
- Contribute to the development and monitoring of project budgets, ensuring that timelines align with financial constraints.
- Support senior management with strategic decision-making by providing accurate and timely schedule reports, analysis, and forecasting.
Requirements:
- A degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in project planning, with at least 4 years in the offshore wind or energy sector.
- Extensive experience using project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Strong understanding of offshore wind project phases, including development, construction, and commissioning.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
Preferred:
- Previous experience working on large-scale offshore wind projects in Asia.
- Familiarity with Taiwan's regulatory environment and local industry standards.
- PMP or other relevant project management certifications.
