Position Overview: As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of our transportation operations. You will play a key role in developing and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain high service standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute transportation strategies aligned with company objectives, ensuring optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage and lead a team of transportation professionals, providing guidance, support, and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of transportation operations, including route optimization and scheduling.
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts with transportation partners, suppliers, and carriers to ensure favorable terms and high-quality service.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and industry practices.
- Analyze transportation data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as logistics, supply chain, and operations to streamline processes and achieve business goals.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience 10+ years in a role within Transportation engineering and/or Civil Engineering.
- Strong understanding of transportation design operations, regulations, and industry trends.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful transportation strategies that drive efficiency and cost savings.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
- Proficiency in utilizing transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software/tools.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
