Key Responsibilities:
- Perform plumbing and fire suppression design calculations and equipment selections, and review those performed by project designers.
- Lead the design of specific projects, attend meetings, and collaborate with team members to ensure detailed and coordinated project documentation.
- Conduct code research and establish design criteria for projects.
- Ensure design and production efforts are completed within established project budgets and schedules.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members to deliver exceptional project outcomes.
- Conduct site visits and oversee construction administration.
- Provide regular project status updates to senior engineers and discipline directors.
- Stay updated on the latest design practices through independent learning, seminars, and continuing education.
- Engage in design, analysis, and documentation training.
- Work directly with clients to establish design criteria and develop concepts based on their goals and budget expectations.
- Ensure project compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Conduct existing system evaluations and assessments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in at least one state.
- Proficiency in engineering and sprinkler hydraulic calculations.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit software.
- Familiarity with current codes and industry practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
