Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our HVAC department. This role is ideal for professionals committed to outstanding client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop project specs, proposals, as well as budgets.
- Create and coordinate design details, plans, and drawings.
- Design, estimate, manage start-up, and plan jobs, troubleshooting as needed.
- Supervise and review team member's work
- Collaborate with external contractors and other disciplines.
- Resolve conflicts and escalate issues to the project manager.
- Monitor construction costs and ensure quality installations.
- Implement quality assurance programs.
- Review and integrate vendor and client drawings, preparing construction documents.
- Respond to RFIs and issue change bulletins.
- Conduct site surveys, field observations, and develop punch lists.
- Delegate tasks to engineers, designers, and BIM technicians.
- Engage with clients and assist with technical studies and assessments.
Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of experience with an engineering consulting or architectural industrial engineering firm, specializing in health care, institutional, commercial, educational, municipal, and industrial projects.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or registered designer stamp.
- Proficient in Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
