Senior Manager- Land Acquisition
The Senior Land Acquisition Manager will have the chance to join a prominent independent power generation and service provider in the market. This position entails the creation and execution of land acquisition initiatives to back project development objectives within the project pipeline and cater to on-site land requirements. Additionally, this role will involve conducting comprehensive due diligence on potential real estate projects for acquisition. The Manager will also take charge of overseeing a team of land personnel and resources in their assigned region, leading negotiations, and cultivating and sustaining relationships with stakeholders. It is advisable for the prospective candidate to possess experience in selecting consultants and overseeing their deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute and overlook day to day activities of Land Acquisition team and create measurable progress on land acquisition campaigns.
- Support the land acquisition team with meetings that require negotiations for leasing land, land purchases, collection and transmission line easement, access roads easements, and working with director and internal/external real estate counsel as needed.
- Partner with regional teams to design land acquisition campaigns and initiate contact with landowners to find the value and deal with any negotiations that may need to take place.
- Weekly updates with Regional Development staff for tasks, reports, and projects.
- Collaborate with Land and Community Engagement senior leadership to ensure policies are taught and understood.
- Have meeting with Stakeholders to maintain relationships and update them on the process.
Key Qualifications:
- Requires a bachelor's degree in real estate, business, marketing, or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of energy land acquisition experience, at least 4 of those in the renewable energy industry
- 4 or more years of direct management experience of land agents
- Experience in sales, account acquisition and account management
- Detail-oriented problem solver with exceptional and pro-active organizational skills
- Strong verbal, written communications, and public speaking skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software
