Responsibilities for the Senior Highway Engineer include:
- Managing design teams and coordinating schedules with project managers
- Assisting in the preparation of proposals and project scopes, including cost estimations
- Directing and reviewing bid documents, report writing, and permit applications
- Lead and mentor design teams on multimillion dollar MDOT projects
Qualifications for the Senior Highway Engineer position:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Michigan
- Minimum of six years of relevant experience in roadway design, highway deisgn, or municipal work.
- Proficiency in transportation modeling software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Microstation
