About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Grid Connection Engineer to manage the grid connection process for renewable energy and infrastructure projects. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, performing technical studies, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver successful projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage grid connection processes, including feasibility studies, applications, and compliance with National Electricity Rules (NER).
- Conduct technical assessments such as load flow studies, fault level calculations, and harmonic analysis using tools like PSS/E, PSCAD, and PowerFactory.
- Collaborate with TNSPs, DNSPs, AEMO, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Ensure grid connection designs meet all regulatory and industry standards.
- Prepare and review technical reports and connection agreements.
- Provide technical support during project development, execution, and commissioning phases.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5+ years of grid connection engineering experience in renewable energy or power systems.
- Proficiency in PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory, or similar software for power system studies.
- Strong understanding of NER, AEMO processes, and local grid codes.
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and documentation.
- Certifications (desirable): CPEng, RPEQ, or equivalent accreditation.
