Position Overview: The Senior Geotechnical Engineer will serve as a "Seller-Doer," combining technical expertise with business development skills. This role is ideal for a professional who excels in both project management and client engagement. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving business growth, managing projects, and ensuring client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects from proposal to completion.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities and securing projects.
- Actively participate in business development activities, including networking, proposal writing, and presentations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
- Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and project documentation.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate with other service lines to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a proven track record in project management and business development.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
