Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing a diverse range of environmental projects, including but not limited to environmental impact assessments, remediation projects, conservation initiatives, and sustainable development efforts. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure successful project completion while adhering to environmental standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team of environmental professionals for the execution and development of Phase I and II ESA's, Remedial Action Plans, and Risk Assessments.
- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, budgets, and timelines, and communicate these effectively to all stakeholders.
- Environmental Compliance: Ensure all projects are in compliance with relevant environmental laws, regulations, and standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with clients, regulatory authorities, and community stakeholders to facilitate project success and permit approvals.
- Environmental Assessment: Conduct environmental impact assessments and identify potential risks, developing mitigation strategies and sustainability initiatives.
- Resource Management: Efficiently allocate resources, including personnel and equipment, to meet project needs.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit detailed project reports and documentation to clients and regulatory agencies as required.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Promote sustainable and eco-friendly practices in project design and execution.
- Budget Control: Manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving measures whenever possible.
- Business Development: Participate in marketing and business development, as well as being the primary point of contact and advocate for clients with the ability to attract new clients/business
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, geology, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental subsurface investigation, with 5+ years of directly leading, managing, and completing projects.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Environmental certifications (California P.E. or P.G.) preferred.
