Job Description: We are seeking a self-motivated individual to join a team of diverse professionals in the Environmental division as a Senior Environmental Engineer or Geologist. This role involves providing a full range of environmental due diligence services for various clients, including government agencies, land developers, and lending institutions. Our team has extensive experience in conducting environmental assessments at a variety of sites, from undeveloped properties to complex industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and perform environmental site investigations, engineering analysis, and development of plans and specifications.
- Manage Illinois SRP closures, groundwater monitoring, SPCC plans and inspections, UST closures, environmental compliance, and permitting.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and safety guidelines.
- Network with clients to identify and define projects, develop proposals, and maintain project quality and risk management.
- Ensure deliverables meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
- Develop practical solutions to help clients achieve and maintain compliance with environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Engineering, Geology, or a related technical field.
- 8 to 12 years of related work experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license (preferred) or ability to obtain.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with leadership capabilities.
- Attention to detail and willingness to occasionally work more than 8 hours per day when necessary.
- Ability to interpret and apply State and Federal technical guidance and regulations.
- 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification (or ability to obtain).
