Senior Engineering Geologist

Salary Range: $115,000 - $165,000

Job Description: As a Senior Engineering Geologist, you will play a pivotal role in assessing site-specific surface and subsurface conditions, contributing to the development of cost-effective and constructible solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in mitigating geological hazards and ensuring the structural integrity of various projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site investigations and collect geologic data.
- Develop scopes of work and prepare budgets for projects.
- Oversee drilling, test pit, and trench operations.
- Observe fieldwork and manage the recording of data.
- Create slope profiles and field maps.
- Conduct laboratory testing and prepare illustrations for publication.
- Analyze, evaluate, and interpret collected data and measurements.
- Collaborate with subcontractors to schedule fieldwork and obtain permits from local agencies.
- Provide recommendations to ensure the safety and feasibility of construction projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in geotechnical engineering or geology.
- Proficiency in conducting field mapping, subsurface exploration, and utilizing industry-standard software for simulations and evaluations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- California Professional Geologist (PG) license preferred.
