A global energy efficiency firm is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer (Control Systems Design and Consultancy) in Singapore. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting and executing research projects related to electrical, power and controls systems (inverter controller, PLC etc.).
The role will require the planning, design, and implementation of projects related to the integration of high- and low-level system controllers, and the concept design of low-voltage electrical systems. We are looking for a problem solver individual who can provide clients with innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical advisory on the distributed control system overview and research support pertaining to electrical engineering and control system (PLC)
- Continuous development of energy management system
- Guide and lead junior engineers in research and commercial works
- Provide electrical design expertise
- Engage with clients/partners on research topics and testing purposes
- Stay relevant to industry and innovate new solutions
- Lead junior engineers in research projects
- Provide on-site technical support on electrical and control systems capabilities and limitations
Requirements:
- Master's Degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or any relevant disciplines
- 5+ years of working experience in research or development for electrical or distributed control systems
- Familiarity in low carbon energy, smart grid, battery (BESS), utilities system would be a plus
- Programming skills to support research works
- Led a team of junior engineers before
- Experience in control theory and mathematical optimization is a plus
- Engineering Consultancy background would be preferred.
