Title: Senior Electrical Engineer
Location: Tampa, Florida
Salary: $100,000 - $140,000
Position Overview: The Senior Electrical Engineer will design complex electrical systems, including master system plans, power systems, protection and generation models, facility power systems, and sustainability/renewable energy systems. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulations, performing power system studies, and updating design requirements as needed.
Responsibilities
- Create designs for various electrical systems to meet client project requirements.
- Review and sign off on designs for regulatory compliance.
- Conduct power system studies and electrical calculations.
- Perform site reviews to ensure design alignment with location specifications.
- Develop technical documentation and white papers.
- Collaborate with sales staff to create and review proposals.
- Meet with clients to discuss current and future design needs.
- Attend conferences to enhance firm visibility.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
- Supervise junior engineers on project work.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Electrical Technology, or related discipline.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- 10 years of related experience.
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
- Equivalent additional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Skills and Abilities
- Expert knowledge of CADD 3D and 4D software and Revit
- Expert knowledge of engineering design principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft business software (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Expert knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations.
