About the Role:
Seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead and expand our electrical division. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and personable engineer to step into a leadership role, providing technical expertise and mentorship while driving strategic growth. The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert (SME) in electrical engineering, with hands-on experience in high voltage design (345kV+).
Key Responsibilities:
- Division Leadership: Oversee and develop the electrical division, providing guidance to a team of junior engineers.
- High Voltage Design: Lead electrical design efforts for projects involving 345kV+ systems.
- Client Engagement: Act as a key point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and providing technical consultation.
- Project Execution: Maintain a hands-on approach by contributing to electrical designs and project management efforts.
- Cross-Industry Expertise: Work on diverse projects in oil & gas, renewable energy, transmission & distribution, and substation design.
- Team Growth & Development: Mentor junior engineers, ensuring technical proficiency and professional growth.
- Strategic Expansion: Support the company's growing engineering team, which has been expanding for the past five years.
Requirements:
- Professional Engineer (PE) License (Required)
- 10+ years of electrical engineering experience
- Extensive experience in high voltage electrical design (345kV+).
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles across various industries.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team.
- Excellent communication skills with an extroverted and engaging personality.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to balance design work and leadership responsibilities.
- Must be based in the USA.
