Your Role: Impact & Responsibilities
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in leading our engineering team and overseeing the successful delivery of projects. You'll provide expert electrical engineering services, ensuring that the buildings we design are cost-effective, energy-efficient, sustainable, and offer a safe, healthy environment for occupants.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the electrical design team and managing projects from concept through completion.
- Overseeing multiple projects simultaneously, performing design work, calculations, and preparing contract drawings, specifications, and design reports.
- Mentoring junior staff and reviewing their work to ensure compliance with applicable codes and project standards.
- Participating in client meetings and coordinating with contractors and vendors independently.
- Conducting load analysis and developing detailed electrical system drawings.
- Selecting and specifying electrical equipment, and coordinating with engineers from other disciplines and project architects.
- Maintaining confidentiality with client projects and delivering presentations to clients as needed.
- Guiding and supporting junior engineers throughout the project life-cycle.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Experience working in an architectural/engineering firm.
- Demonstrated experience in electrical design for buildings.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team of engineers.
- Project management experience is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience designing various types of electrical systems.
- Strong track record of successfully managing multiple projects.
- Proficient in technical writing and documentation.
- Experience designing in a BIM environment.
- LEED accreditation is a plus, though not mandatory.
