Position: Senior Electrical Engineer | Project Manager
Location: Salt Lake City, UT; Meridian, ID; Kennewick, WA; Spokane, WA; Coeur d'Alene, ID
Description:
We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer and Project Manager with extensive experience in municipal and commercial facility design and project management. Projects include water and wastewater systems, SCADA and telemetry systems, lighting for streets and roadways, airports, commercial office buildings, parks and recreation areas, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and financial buildings.
Responsibilities:
- Scope, schedule, and estimate project costs
- Conduct short circuit, load flow, and relay coordination studies
- Develop one-line diagrams, plan drawings, cable schedules, interconnection drawings, and schematics
- Interact with contractors, clients, and facility operators
- Interpret control system, construction, and installation drawings
- Develop equipment and construction specifications
- Provide field evaluations, electrical investigations, and on-site construction support
- Mentor and guide junior staff
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines within the firm
- Lead business development activities and create proposals for professional services
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university; Master's degree is a plus
- Licensed Professional Engineer with 8+ years of post-licensure experience
- Experience in design, construction management, startup, and commissioning services
- Knowledge of electrical power system modeling techniques (ETAP, SKM, EasyPower)
- Familiarity with electrical construction techniques
- Ability to gather technical information from various sources for design implementation and solutions
- Strong communication skills for conveying technical information to clients
- High attention to detail, quality, completeness, and accuracy
- Ability to self-check work and review the work of team members
Salary Range: $115,000 - $150,000, based on experience
