Position Overview:
As a Senior Ecologist, you will lead ecological assessments, manage projects, and provide technical guidance on a variety of environmental initiatives. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and oversee ecological assessments, surveys, and impact assessments.
- Prepare technical reports, management plans, and permit applications in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Provide ecological expertise and recommendations to clients and project teams.
- Lead stakeholder consultations and liaise with regulatory authorities.
- Mentor and support junior ecologists and team members.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in ecological consulting or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of Australian flora and fauna, ecological processes, and environmental legislation.
- Proven experience in conducting field surveys and assessments.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- Strong project management skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
