Senior Electrical Engineer - Data Center Owner's Side
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a leading data center owner and operator, overseeing the design, construction, and operation of mission-critical facilities. This role provides a unique opportunity to work on the owner's side, directly influencing the long-term reliability, scalability, and efficiency of high-performance data centers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and management of electrical infrastructure for data centers, ensuring resiliency and efficiency.
- Oversee power distribution, backup generation, UPS, grounding, and redundancy systems to support 24/7 operations.
- Act as a technical advisor for electrical engineering decisions across new builds, expansions, and retrofits.
- Work closely with construction teams, contractors, and vendors, ensuring designs align with operational requirements and long-term business goals.
- Perform load analysis, fault current studies, and protective device coordination to optimize system performance.
- Support commissioning, testing, and ongoing maintenance strategies to ensure uptime and compliance with industry standards.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies and best practices to drive innovation and sustainability in data center operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 3 years focused on mission-critical facilities such as data centers, hospitals, or industrial power systems.
- Expertise in power system design, reliability engineering, and critical infrastructure planning.
- Experience working with AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical modeling software.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, IEEE, and data center-specific design standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and disciplines.
