What They Will Be Doing:
The role involves serving as a progressive and experienced consulting engineer to lead significant water and wastewater control system design and construction projects for utilities across the United States. The individual will collaborate closely with operators, maintenance staff, managers, and engineers to ensure project goals are achieved. They will also contribute to business development efforts by assisting with proposals, fee estimates, and offering technical expertise, while identifying additional opportunities with existing clients.
The position requires acting as the project manager and technical lead/engineer of record, overseeing project teams in preparing control system designs suitable for public bid. Responsibilities include preparing technical deliverables, such as SCADA master plans, Preliminary Engineering Reports, and facilitating workshops. The individual will communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and help utilities enhance their operations, processes, and technology through innovative solutions.
This role involves developing and implementing ideas that improve operational efficiency, enable data-driven decision-making, and revolutionize system interactions. The individual will have opportunities to expand their skill set by working with experienced subject matter experts in system design, networking, telemetry, equipment selection, construction supervision, and project management.

Requirements:
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the U.S. by examination, or the ability to obtain PE registration within 12 months.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (minimum).
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in control systems design and/or system implementation, including developing specifications and drawings suitable for public bid or SCADA system programming.
- At least 2 years of project management experience.
- At least 2 years of experience mentoring junior engineers.
