Senior Civil Estimator Wanted
Our client, a well-established construction company based in Tallahassee, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Estimator to join their team. As a seasoned professional in the heavy civil construction industry, you will be responsible for delivering accurate project estimations that ensure competitive bids and high-quality results.
The ideal candidate should possess advanced estimating skills, deep heavy civil knowledge, and extensive bid management experience. You will be responsible for analyzing construction plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare detailed project estimates. You should have a solid understanding of construction project management and be able to work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.
As the Senior Civil Estimator, you will be responsible for managing the entire estimating process, including reviewing bid documents, preparing bid proposals, and analyzing project costs. You will also be responsible for maintaining a comprehensive database of cost estimates and project budgets, which will help the company to accurately forecast future projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in the heavy civil construction industry
- Advanced estimating skills and deep heavy civil/DOT knowledge
- Extensive bid management experience
- Strong analytical skills and impeccable attention-to-detail
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
