Join a national, full-service civil consulting firm seeking a skilled Senior Aviation Engineer to lead airport infrastructure projects across the Pacific Northwest. This role requires a strong technical background in airport design, project management, and FAA regulations, with opportunities to oversee projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate is a licensed PE with 8+ years of aviation experience, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality airfield design solutions. You will be responsible for project execution, technical oversight, and mentoring junior staff while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead airport infrastructure projects, including runway, taxiway, and apron design.
- Ensure compliance with FAA advisory circulars and airport design standards.
- Prepare construction plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Provide technical guidance and quality control for aviation projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to achieve project goals.
- Mentor junior engineers and support team development.
Minimum Requirements:
- PE license & Bachelor's in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited).
- 8+ years of aviation design & project management experience.
- Strong knowledge of FAA design standards & grant process.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D, OpenRoads, or similar design software.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
