Role Overview
- Manage and expand services related to the Faรงade Inspection and Safety Program (FISP).
- Consult on facade design enhancements and maintenance projects:
- Perform forensic reviews, prepare bid documents and repair details, oversee bidding phases, and manage construction administration.
- Expertise in exterior wall construction is required.
- Collaborate with various departments on internal services (proposal writing, budget tracking).
- Establish effective communication and relationships with clients and project management teams to ensure client needs and project timelines are met.
- Familiarity with local building and energy codes.
- Advise architects and clients on building enclosure performance, constructability, and durability.
- Maintain detailed and well-written reports on project activities.
- Demonstrate a successful history of managing projects and deliverables.
- Oversee and review reports and project progress of the Restoration Division staff.
- Lead and mentor staff or teams.
- Occasionally present white papers and case studies to technical teams
Requirements:
- At least 8 years of hands-on experience in building envelope/enclosure and restoration projects
- Registered Architect (RA) or Professional Engineer (PE)
- Proficiency in Industrial Rope Access (IRA) techniques
- SPRAT certification is mandatory
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or Engineering
- Familiarity with architectural design theories and concepts, as well as local laws and building codes
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings accurately
- Inspection certificates are a plus
- Excellent PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word or other document writing programs
