My client is looking for a senior building enclosure consultant that will aid and support the rest of the team with existing and new projects. Working on a variety of unique projects, you will play a key role in the firms growth whilst seeing clear progression for yourself. The team is staffed with experts in the building envelope industry with a positive and family like work culture which as directly correlated with employee retention.
Role Overview
You will be supporting/reviewing a range of different projects involving, historic structures, condition assessments, commissioning, waterproofing, forensic investigation and testing of a range of fenestration, building enclosures systems as well as providing repair design solutions.
We are looking for a senior building consultant with 3-5 years experience in the above projects as well as experience managing a team and/or a variety of projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for continued education, mentoring younger staff members as you grow.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Support with on-site building envelope inspections and project management.
- Prepare and review reports summarizing investigation finding, analysis result, and recommended solutions.
- Support management, providing mentorship and support for more junior staff.
- Carry out building enclosure inspections and remediation work.
- Work collaboratively with cross functional teams.
- Attend meetings with clients and participate in discussions on projects, requirements and communicate findings proficiently.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, constructions, architecture or proficient relevant industry experience.
- PE license, or IIBEC credentials preferred.
- 3-5 years direct experience working with building enclosures and project management.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately review and document findings and reports.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written to convey technical information's to the team and clientele.
- Self motivated with a strong desire to support a team, learn and grow in the field of building enclosure consulting.
